Premiere showing: November 25th, 2010
In life comes the time when one feels like to be on the top of a hill. From there one have the time and possibility to look down and see at the past, wondering, at the same time, how much future is left for one to live. This is one of those crepuscular moments one feel belongs to some of the northern countries where, in the summertime, the sun goes down just to stop right above the horizon, before rising up again. Is it perhaps in this endless twilight zone, lightened up by the presence of the sun, yet darkened by a continuos perception of the shadow, that the Angels live?
There are several ways, obviously, to look upon ones life and consider the ups and downs of the existence, both the lucky and unlucky coincidences, the comic and the tragic once. One would like to do that with a benign smile, with a detached participation, with the same loving eye as the Secret Guardians has.

We took off for our travel start looking at “Wings of desire”, the movie by Wim Wenders written in collaboration with Peter Handke. Our story, took, then, a different and indipendent path away from the movie. Only the poem “When a child was a child”, some loose phrases from the screenplay and the soundtrack of Philip Glass (from the “library scene”) are still with us.

An other dear companion on this journey has been the book “Talking with angels” by Gitta Mallasz. A text we pursued, found and not utilized as literal material, but as inspiration and invisible guide. The process behind the show has not been homogenous. The background of the actors and the director, even-though joined by a heritage of research theatre, made both possible and challenging the search for a common language and of a working modality made of improvisations, of constructions and montages discovered by chance and obtained without ever following a premeditated method.
