U13 - «Da Capo» in Hong Kong

Our production «Da Capo! Almost-concert with the Konk Brothers» traveled to Hong Kong to play 5 shows at Hong Kong International Art Carnival (HIAC).

HIAC is the biggest culture festival for families in Hong Kong, visited by around 150 000 people every year. The Konk Brothers performed 5 sold-out shows in Hong Kong city centre and Northern Territories. The first 3 shows were sold-out in less than two hours after the tickets were posted. Due to this, the organiser booked 2 more shows, which also sold out.

The ‘Konk Brothers’ are two beloved characters created by the Italian / Norwegian duo consisting of Paolo Martini and Henning Farner. These two characters were conceived in 1994 in Norway. Since, the duo has appeared in four classic variations in over 500 live performances for over 52,000 people. Their use of physical acrobatics and slapstick techniques is in the same comic vein as the early American silent films. A meeting with, the renowned Italian clown, Leris Colombaioni, was instrumental in changing their artistic direction to also include the attributes of the classical clown.
